About the archive

Necton Films is a personal, non-commercial archive of films made by Trevor and his friends and colleagues between approximately 1970 and 1995.

The films were made privately as a hobby and were never produced or distributed as commercial productions.

The purpose of this website is to preserve these films and make them available for former friends, colleagues and others connected with them to watch and enjoy for nostalgic and historical purposes.

No charge is made to view the films.

Copyright in the films

The films were created by Trevor and his friends and colleagues.

Copyright in individual films and other original material remains with the relevant copyright owner or owners.

Where a film was created jointly by more than one person, copyright may be jointly owned.

Necton Films does not intend to suggest that Trevor personally owns copyright in every film simply because the films are made available through this website.

Where the identity of the relevant copyright owner is known, appropriate information may be included with the film.

Other material

Some films may contain music, photographs, artwork, performances or other material created by people other than the people who made the film itself.

Where such material is identified and a legitimate copyright concern is raised, Trevor will consider the matter and take appropriate action where necessary.

Trevor will consider genuine copyright concerns and may temporarily remove or restrict access to the relevant material while the matter is investigated.

Historical nature of the archive

The information accompanying the films has been provided from memories, records and information available to Trevor and others involved with the films.

Because the films were made many years ago, some names, dates, locations or other details may be incomplete or inaccurate.

If you believe that information accompanying a film is incorrect, please contact Trevor and provide the corrected information where possible.

Non-commercial use

Necton Films is a non-commercial hobby archive.

The website does not charge visitors to view the films and does not sell the films or use them for commercial film production services.

Nothing on this website should be interpreted as granting permission to copy, reproduce, redistribute, commercially exploit or otherwise use the films or other copyrighted material.
